Cultural Pursuits Department
The Maintenance & Inventory Clerk is responsible for overseeing departmental equipment and managing inventory for the Cultural Pursuits Department and its activities within the Cree First Nation of Waswanipi (CFNW). The successful candidate will help ensure equipment, materials, and traditional food supplies are properly received, stored, maintained, and tracked in a safe and organized environment.

Reporting
The Maintenance & Inventory Clerk reports directly to the Director of Cultural Pursuits.

Duties and Responsibilities
Functional & Strategic Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, products, and traditional food
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery, as required
• Maintain maintenance and food log sheets and report equipment faults or concerns
• Coordinate and book repair appointments for equipment and machinery
• Track, create, and maintain accurate inventory records and processes
• Report any unusual activity or suspected misuse of resources or equipment
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the warehouse andstorage areas
• Ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment
Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Cultural Pursuits as required.

Employment Requirements
Education and Experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Maintenance & Inventory Clerk or in a similar role
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered

Language Requirements
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Fluency in spoken Cree
• Fluency in French is considered an asset

Knowledge and Abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Employment Information
• Work Location: Diom Blacksmith Administration Building
• Employment Status: Full-Time Permanent
• Work Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly
• Salary Range: According to qualifications and salary scale
