The Chief and Council are elected representatives of the Band membership, serving a crucial role in the governance and leadership of the community.
Each councilor serves a term of four years, during which they work to address the needs and aspirations of community members. The council consists of a Chief, a Deputy Chief, and seven Council members, each bringing their unique perspectives and experiences to the table.
Since 1976, CFNW Chief and Council have been responsible for overseeing the development of the community and provide ongoing support to its community members through various types of service delivery. In addition, they meet regularly to discuss major projects and industrial activity within the territory.
