The Cree First Nation of Waswanipi would like to advise community members of upcoming road work involving the reconfiguration of Poplar Street and Road #113.
Work Schedule
Construction will begin on Monday, August 17, 2026, and is expected to continue until the end of October 2026.
During this period, community members may notice changes to traffic patterns and road conditions in the work area. Please follow all posted signage, traffic control measures, and directions to help ensure the safety of everyone travelling through the area.
Access to the Community
The access road will remain open and available at all times during this phase of the work. Please exercise caution when travelling near the construction area and to allow additional time for travel when necessary.
Spring 2027 Work
The project will continue with additional work planned for Spring 2027. Further information regarding the next phase will be communicated to the community when available.
