We recently celebrated the grand opening of our new commercial building in Waswanipi — a proud and exciting moment for our community!
Named Maamuu Apatisiiwin Kaamuk, the building’s name symbolizes collaboration, opportunity, and the advancement of the local economy. During the opening ceremony, the name was officially unveiled, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Waswanipi’s growth and development.
While the mini-mall within the building is still a work in progress, it will soon provide space for local entrepreneurs to establish and expand their businesses, creating new opportunities for the community. This initiative represents a meaningful step toward strengthening local commerce and supporting entrepreneurship in Waswanipi.
