WASWANIPI – July 29, 2025 — Cree First Nation of Waswanipi (CFNW) is pleased to announce the upcoming installation of a new fast-charging station (FCS) in collaboration with Hydro-Québec.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in supporting sustainable transportation and improving access to electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the region.
The new fast-charging station will be located at 13 Route 113, Waswanipi, QC, at the community entrance. It will feature two double stations, allowing up to four electric vehicles to charge simultaneously. Once operational, it will provide high-capacity charging to reduce emissions and encourage cleaner travel options for both residents and visitors.
This project reflects the ongoing collaboration between CFNW and Hydro-Québec, rooted in a shared commitment to sustainability. Through this partnership, CFNW and Hydro-Quebec are committed to the principles of sustainable development and, through this partnership, wish to continue promoting them to their respective clients and members.
