On January 22, 2025, the Waswanipi community celebrated its 2024 Appreciation Day, an event that featured a dinner and awards honoring outstanding community members. Every year, nominations for this event are open to recognize individuals, groups, or organizations that have significantly contributed to the community, highlighting their efforts and achievements.
